The Afro-Meditation pioneer, iKofi, has officially released his latest socially conscious record, “Aboagye (Greedy Man),” under the NiYa Music Inc. label. The track marks a departure from his usual soulful romance, pivoting instead toward a biting critique of selfishness and modern-day “galamsey” (illegal mining) culture.
Produced by the prolific Beatz Vampire, “Aboagye” serves as a metaphorical character study. In the song, iKofi uses the name “Aboagye” to represent the stereotypical “Greedy Man” who prioritizes personal gain over the well-being of his community.
