Emmanuel Andrews Sammini, known professionally as Samini (formerly Batman), is a Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artist born on December 22, 1981, in Accra, Ghana. He is from the Wa in the Upper West Region. The names of his parent are Mr G.A Samini and Theresa Nusala.

Samini attended his basic education at Holy Family Basic School and then continued at St Margaret Mary Sec school, Dansoman for his secondary education. Samini holds a bachelor’s degree in Project Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Batman bid farewell to Ghana’s shores, embarking on a journey to London’s prestigious Point Blank Music College, where he pursued a coveted diploma in Music Production and honed his craft.

In a post sighted by Tunebeatz.com, Samini revealed that he started singing in a church choir at the age of 14 and also participated in many entertainment events in his high school, where he discovered his talent. From the year 1999 to 2006, he was popularly known as Batman. He later rebranded his stage name to ‘Samini’ after he won the “Best African Act” at the 2006 MOBO Awards.

Samini recorded his debut album and signed a record deal with Ashanti International. After some time, he established his own record label, Samini Music, now known as Highgrade Family. Batman has featured close to 100 tracks with other musicians. He has performed at many events outside the country (Ghana). He is outstanding in performing live bands.

Emmanuel Andrews Sammini is also popularly known for his signature “KPOOI”. In an interview sighted by Tunebeatz.com, He said the “KPOOI” means a signal sound of a gunshot. Batman does most of his tracks at Ashanti International Studio and also works with Roland of Best Brain Digital Studios. His song Linda, fetched him a lot of traffic and won him two Ghana Music Awards for Highlife Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year.

Along the way, he continued to release more songs, which put him at the top of the charts. “Odo” was also a hit song that drew a lot of attention from music lovers
