Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie aka Obidibiponbidi, is a Ghanaian rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur born on July 10, 1985, in Koforidua, Ghana. The names of his parent are Mr. Augustine Owusu Addo and Mrs. Emma Maame Aggrey. Sarkodie is married to Tracy and has two kids named Adalyn Owusu Addo and Micheal Nana Yaw Owusu Addo Jnr.
The parents later then moved to Tema, where he started schooling. King Sark completed his Junior High School in Tema and enrolled in Tema Methodist High School after completing his elementary school. He furthered his education at IPMC and earned a degree in graphics and design.
In an interview sighted by Tunebeatz.com, King Sark said he began rapping when he was four years old. At that time, he was more into Twi rap and some mixture of English.

Sarkodie began his music career as an underground rapper, where he joined numerous rap competitions and events. He also made it through Adom FMโs popular rap competition “Kasahare Level” where he defeated other competitors and emerged as the winner. Sark also participated in the Tema rap battle championship and won.
It was through these rap battles that he encountered his former manager, Duncan Williams, of Duncwills Entertainment. Sarkodie also met some artists like Edem, Castro, Kwaw Kese, and others who introduced him to Hammer of The Last Two, a music producer. Because Sarkodie was very good and skillful in rap, Hammer decided to feature him on two of his tracks.
The talented Ghanaian rapper later released his debut album “MaKye” at Accra Mall, which was produced by JaySo and KillBeatz.ย He featured some great musicians like R2Bees, J Town, Sway, Kwaw Kese, Omarย Sterling, and many more in his album. Later in the game, King Sark established his record label named “Sarkcess Music” which involved Angel, Tracy, Sammy Forson, DJ Mensah, and others on the labelโs board of directors.
